Support to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova to enhance its internal and external communication capacities

From May 2016 to May 2017 we implemented a communication project in Moldova, whose main objective was to support the capacity building of the Republic of Moldova’s Parliament in the field of internal and external communication.

The project was implemented under the “Democracy Program / Parliament” programme supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Swedish government.

The project activities were primarily aimed at establishing an effective and structured communication system with the government, state institutions, business organisations, international partners, national media, and with the citizens.

During the project a new Communication Strategy for the years 2016-2019 was developed, in line with the Agenda of Association Agreement with European Union, as well as a series of guidance documents on specific communication activities of the Moldovan Parliament.

Furthermore, we have organized and conducted training cycles for the Moldovan parliamentarians in the field of communication techniques, use of communication tools, self-presentation and media relations. Local media journalists involved in the project have also been trained in parliamentary reporting.
