Ecorys will evaluate cross border cooperation (IPA II) in Serbia

Cross-border cooperation is key to regional development, and the EU has been a major supporter in Serbia through funding and technical assistance. Ecorys is proud to lead the “Evaluation of the Cross Border Cooperation (IPA II) in Serbia” project, assessing the impact, quality, and outcomes of these interventions to provide insights for future improvements.

Since 2004, Serbia has benefited from the EU’s Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), fostering economic, social, and territorial development in border regions. The IPA II programs, central to this evaluation, have funded initiatives to enhance collaboration and quality of life.

Our evaluation will ensure objectivity, generate evidence-based recommendations, and hold stakeholders accountable for effective resource use. It will also highlight best practices and encourage collaboration among local communities, policymakers, and partners.

While Serbia has made great strides in regional cooperation, continued investment is essential. Ecorys remains committed to supporting sustainable development and cross-border collaboration.
