Good governance

The principles of good governance and the rule of law are cornerstones for creating inclusive, fair, and prosperous societies in Europe and beyond. Good governance ensures that public institutions function effectively and ethically, in a transparent and accountable way and seeks to balance the distribution of resources across society. Closely tied to this, rule of law covers the equal application of the law to all and by all, thereby, safeguarding individual rights and maintaining public order.

Ecorys provides support to public bodies that work on developing and maintaining good governance and rule of law principles and, more specifically, also helps address challenges in these domains through research and technical assistance. This includes, for example, the management of (stakeholder) networks, identifying and tracking rule of law trends and developments and mapping of good practices. The support that Ecorys provides to decision makers at the EU and international level, ultimately, helps shape more inclusive, fair and prosperous societies.
