Quality assurance consulting for regional water supply projects

Ecorys provides consulting services for quality assurance, control and support on contracts for regional pre-investment studies for water supply sewerage operators under the projects ‘Supporting regional investment planning on the water supply and sewerage sector’.

On-going support and consultancy services (technical, economic, financial, and legal) were provided to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MDPW) in Bulgaria to ensure timely implementation, technical approval and quality control of the results and activities aiming at preparation of regional water supply and sewerage pre-investment studies, application forms for European funding and conceptual designs.

The main activities under the Contract were:

• Monitoring the preparation of investment proposals
• Review, comments, recommendations and technical quality control of deliverables
• Organisation, reporting and participation in regular progress meetings
• Organisation and participation in Technical Expert Councils
• Stakeholder coordination
• Maintain a system of documentation on the implementation of activities and sub-activities
• Publications (articles) to promote the project and its achievements

• Implementation of additional tasks assigned by the Contracting Authority such as risk assessment.

Water supply and sewerage regional pre-investment studies developed and elaborated application forms were used by the respective water supply and sewerage operators to apply for EU funding under Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020.
