Ecorys starts long-term support to developing Tanzanian rural roads
On January 21st 2019, Ecorys, in close collaboration with Cowi and Gopa, has started the EU funded project “Technical Assistance for Institutional and Capacity Building in the Road Transport Sub-Sector”.
The project has two clear objectives. First, the implementation of the rural roads component, with a total budget of 46 million Euro) of the Agri¬Connect programme should be supported. In addition, to strengthen the institutional capacities of The Tanzania Rural & Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) and the Roads Fund Board to efficiently and effectively implement the rural road infrastructure development and maintenance programmes.
