Ecorys presenting Culture Recovery Fund Evaluation at UK Evaluation Society Conference
On Wednesday 4 October, Ecorys Associate Director Jenny Molyneux will be speaking at the UK Evaluation Society Conference on the lessons learnt from our Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) Evaluation for the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS).
The Culture Recovery Fund was the UK Government’s £1.96bn response to supporting the cultural sector during COVID-19. The evaluation was challenging – attempting to provide a Maryland-level 3 evaluation that disentangled the impact of CRF from the myriad of other government support schemes available in a changing environment.
Associate Director Jenny Molyneux is based in Ecorys’ Leeds office and leads the Policy and Research team’s work in the area of culture, she shares her thoughts on the upcoming presentation:
“It is exciting to be presenting about the Culture Recovery Fund evaluation at this year’s UK Evaluation Society conference. The evidence from this largescale and multi-method evaluation reflects a lot of what our other research linked to the cultural and creative industries is telling us – in particular around the many positive impacts of investment in culture for people, places and communities.”
The session will provide lessons learnt on delivering large-scale, complex evaluations in evolving and uncertain environments.
