 Analysis by Ecorys has found that resident engagement is key to ensuring effective housing improvement projects. When housing improvement works capture the trust and engagement of residents, a positive impact on their efficiency and cost-effectiveness may be seen, as well as on the resulting resident satisfaction, the researchers found. Eight in-depth case studies carried out by Ecorys’ Policy and Research team have been included in a recent report by Eurofound: The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions.

April 18, 2017 - Ecorys has completed a five-year project with Department for International Development (DFID) in Nigeria. The Independent Monitoring and Evaluation Programme (IMEP) aimed to increase individual and collective performance of five State Level Programmes.

Ecorys is to design and implement a four-year communications strategy in El Salvador. The communications will raise awareness of the importance and impact of EU cooperation in El Salvador in achieving its development objectives independently of funding sources or mechanisms.     The project is led by Ecorys in consortium with AECOM, with the strategy implemented until 2021.

Ecorys UK is opening up new markets in Central America. Under the DG DEVCO Framework Contract (the European Commission's Directorate-General for International cooperation and Development) the Programme Management and Communications department (PMC) in the UK has recently won a communication project to work with the European Delegation in Nicaragua.

April 10, 2017 - The OECD invited Ecorys to participate in the roundtable on container port systems of the future. Marten van den Bossche (Director Global Practice Connectivity at Ecorys) will attend the event. This will take place on 10 and 11 April in Buenos Aires. There are 22 participants and 19 stakeholders from Argentina who are joining the roundtable.

April 3, 2017 - Similar to the trade agreement with Canada (CETA), and the trade in services agreement (TiSA), the future trade agreement with the US (TTIP), has been a hot topic in the past few years. Ecorys has been contracted by the European Commission to conduct a Trade Sustainability Impact Assessment (Trade SIA) regarding the TTIP agreement. The study has looked at the potential economic, social (including human rights), and environmental impacts.
