We are proud to share the latest Ecorys UK Social Value Report 2024! This report highlights our collective efforts and achievements in delivering social value across several key areas.
Here are our highlights from 2024:
Tackling economic inequality
Our initiatives in this area have contributed to reducing economic disparities within our communities.
- We partnered with the University of Kent and recruited two Social Research Apprentices, George and Zayyan, who joined us in September 2024, as part of our commitment to developing a more diverse workforce. Both George and Zayyan have been valuable additions to our team and we are excited to continue to support them in their careers over the next few years!
- We continued to monitor and diversify our supply chain for contract delivery
Fighting climate change
We have made substantial progress in our environmental sustainability efforts, underlining our commitment to a greener future.
- We published our Ecorys UK Carbon Reduction Plan 2024
- We expanded our recycling initiatives to include new streams and reduce our % of waste
- Our efforts led to an overall carbon reduction of 30.94t (compared to 2023)
- We achieved a significant milestone by becoming a carbon-neutral business ahead of our 2029 target through offsetting with our partner Earthly
Equal opportunity
Our team continued to drive change in 2024, championing inclusivity and equal opportunities for all, ensuring that we continue to foster a fair and supportive work environment.
- Our staff led networks and initiatives continued to provide safe spaces for peer support
- We celebrated diversity through several EDI celebration events throughout the year
- We continued our commitment to being a Disability Confident Employer
- We made substantial progress in reducing the gender pay gap within Ecorys UK, our mean gender pay gap has reduced from 19% in 2023 to 15% in 2024
Wellbeing
We have focused on the wellbeing of our staff, with support and awareness-raising in mental health and community integration.
- Wellbeing Ambassadors continued to provide support across all UK offices
- We updated our Global Performance Review Process with an emphasis on collaborative dialogue
- We partnered with Home Start UK as our charity partner, voted by our staff from April 2024
Strategy for 2025
Looking ahead, our strategy for 2025 includes the following actions:
- Environmental sustainability: Continue our efforts in reducing our carbon footprint and update our Travel Policy and Procurement Policy to ensure alignment with sustainability best practices.
- Disability Pay Gap Report: Go way beyond statutory requirements, to publish a Disability Pay Gap Report combined with our Gender and Ethnicity Reports.
- Community engagement: Scope out opportunities to collaborate through voluntary action with Home-Start UK
