About the project
The LIFE EnerGISE (Energy communities Effective Guidance, Advise, Innovative Support and Stimulation) project aims to simplify and promote the creation and growth of energy communities across Central Europe (CE). A key follow-up objective is to gather, enhance, and adapt existing European knowledge and best practices on establishing and developing these communities, and to apply them effectively within the CE region.

The collected information will be organised into a user-friendly database structured around four key dimensions:
- Socio-Economic
- Legislative
- Technical
- Financial
The knowledge within these areas will be applied through tailored services offered to energy communities at various stages of their development, delivered via newly established one-stop-shops (OSS) in five Central European countries where access to expertise and best practices is currently limited. Feedback gathered from these services, such as the level of interest from energy communities and their evaluation of the services’ relevance and quality, will be used to refine both the services themselves and the knowledge database. Insights gained from direct engagement with energy communities through the OSS centres will then be shared and replicated across European, national, and regional levels in an updated format.
Dissemination and replication will be carried out through a range of tools, including training and consultation events (workshops and conferences), fact sheets summarising best practices, detailed case studies, and policy recommendations for European, national, and regional institutions based on analytical project outputs, such as the identification of existing barriers.
The OSS network will be expanded to include other partners interested in leveraging the project tools as early as in the final part of the project, after pilot testing of all the tools. The project consortium is composed of 9 partners, 2 affiliated and 1 associated partner from 7 countries and is led by BeePartner from the Czech Republic.
Planned key achievements
- Knowledge database as a primary OSS resource (4 dimensions: Legislative, Technical, Financial, Socio-economic)
- Setup of 5 pilot one-stop shops (OSS) in CZ, PL, SK, SL and HU facilitating creation and development of energy communities through tailored services
- Information Tools (fact sheets, good practices, frequently asked questions related to energy communities)
- Capacity-building workshops, trained experts, contribution to ENERCOM related events, final conference
- Replication beyond 5 pilot OSS at the last stage
- Report on persisting barriers to ENERCOM setup or development
