Evaluation of the Fulfilling Lives: Ageing Better Programme
Client: Big Lottery Fund | Sectors: Social PolicyFulfilling Lives: Ageing Better is the Big Lottery Fund's £70m strategic investment to support older people in England. Ageing Better will award grants of between £2-6m to 15-20 geographic areas across England, through a range of cross-sector partnerships led by voluntary sector organisations.
The investment aims to prevent and reduce social isolation for older people, to improve their wellbeing and support them to be more active, healthier and happier for longer.
Ecorys is the lead contractor for the eight year evaluation, working in partnership with Christina Victor, Professor of Gerontology and Public Health, at the Brunel University Institute for Ageing Studies and Bryson Purdon Social Research. A key part of the evaluation is about testing and learning from the investment, and building evidence for the future.
