Ecorys UK Appointed to Develop an Evaluation Framework in the Health Sector
Client: GoodGym | Sectors: Social PolicyGoodGym is a registered charity which supports running groups. It aims to combine exercise with social support visits to older people and other community support activities. Ecorys UK has been appointed to develop an evaluation framework for GoodGym that will help support its growth objectives.
The project, funded by Nesta's Centre for Social Action Innovation Fund, will evidence the outcomes and impacts of GoodGym’s activities.
Ecorys UK is consulting with GoodGym's current and potential funders and develop case studies based on interviews with runners and older people. Drawing on this research, the study will develop key outcomes and measurement approaches relating to reductions in social isolation and loneliness for older people and levels of physical activity for the participant runners.
The evaluation framework and recommended research approaches will be trialed over the coming year leading to a final report in early 2016.
