Ecorys, one of Europe’s largest economic and social development consultancy firms, is hiring a Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Systems Expert to join the Ankara-based project team providing M&E Technical Assistance support to the EU’s Facility for Refugees in Turkey.
Turkey is presently largest refugee hosting country in the world, hosting over 4 million refugees. In 2016, the EU Facility for Refugees in Turkey to allow for the effective and efficient mobilisation of EU assistance to address the needs of refugees and host communities. The EU has committed €6 billion for interventions across health, education, basic needs, livelihoods, infrastructure and social cohesion. These are implemented by governmental agencies, multilateral agencies, as well as international and national NGOs. The SUMAF project supports the Monitoring & Evaluation of these projects to help ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall impact of the EU’s support.
With its databases, monitoring systems, and on-line Monitoring Platform established, SUMAF is now increasing its focus on the analysis of multiple types of data for effective programmatic learning and improvement. For this reason, SUMAF now requires a Senior M&E Systems Expert who combines multi-sectoral experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning with excellent database and data analysis skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working with the EU Delegation in Turkey and the Facility Secretariat in Brussels on the largest migration crisis worldwide.

The position is full-time and based within SUMAF’s office in Ankara, Turkey, a city which offers a very high quality of life. Up to 10% of the time can be worked remotely with approval from the EU Delegation. The consultancy input will run for approximately two years from 01.10.2019 (earlier start is also negotiable). A highly competitive salary and benefits package is offered to attract the right candidate for this key position.
