Support to Decentralisation in Ghana
Client: European Commission | Sectors: Public Sector ReformThis project support the government of Ghana to decentralize administrative and fiscal functions and responsibilities to the local level in Ghana as well as supporting capacity building of local government bodies for the execution of newly acquired functions and responsibilities.
This is done though a mixture of systems building, institutional reform and hands of training and capacity building. The project works along three interconnected results areas which focus on (i) strengthening the legal and institutional reform environment for decentralisation, (ii) supporting administrative capacity building of local government officials and civil servants and (iii) strengthening the intergovernmental fiscal framework for improved fiscal decentralisation.
Ecorys works closely with the government of Ghana to promote improved outcomes in public administration and an enhanced environment for local service delivery and local economic development
