Ecorys organises study tour for Port of Baku technical assistance project

Under the technical assistance project for the Port of Baku, Ecorys organised a 1-week study tour in March for the management of the port, including the general director. The theme of the study tour was the development of the green port concept and sustainability. The study tour started with the participation at the Launching Conference of the IAPH Port Sustainability Programme in Antwerp. In Venlo several companies in the logistics and food industry were visited.

The European Sea Ports Organisation in Brussels and the Port Authorities of Amsterdam and Antwerp were visited to gain know-how in the EcoPorts concept and sustainability in the port sector. The delegation also paid a visit to Ecorys headquarters in Rotterdam and a small boat tour through the port of Rotterdam was held.
Ecorys and Royal HaskoningDHV can build on their broad experience in the Caucasus, including Azerbaijan, to support the PoB. The project started on January 16, 2018, and has a duration of two years.
