Regional and urban development PDF Print E-mail

The economic and social impact of globalisation, liberalisation and increasing competition, coupled with the diminishing relevance of borders, devolution of powers to regional levels and rapid technological change is setting a new agenda for urban and regional development. Government, at central, regional or local levels, must respond to the pace and character of change if sustainable economic development and 'liveability' in its broadest sense is to be maintained and enhanced.

Expertise
We help to understand and manage the process of change working with clients which include agencies at all levels of government and private sector developers. Our skills cover the full range of clients’ needs from regional economic development and spatial strategies, to investment appraisal of individual developments. Our economic led expertise gives us a clear understanding of the impact of market forces and development pressures and the way in which they can be exploited to the wider social advantage. Our quantitative modelling skills are matched by our ability to generate creative master plans at urban, regional and local scales.

ECORYS issues a newsletter on Regional, Urban development and Real Estate. You can read it here.
