22 October 2009 - ECORYS organised a succesful conference on Impact Assessments & Industrial Competitiveness in Rotterdam, on October 1, 2009.
Background In January 2008, the ECORYS Research Programme started with the project Impact Assessments and Industrial Competitiveness. This project was divided into three stages. The first stage started with an in-depth literature review on impact assessments and industrial competitiveness. In the second stage each of the researchers worked on his/her own subject. The final stage consisted – and still consists – of results dissemination and the organization of a Final Conference to present the results. The Final Conference was organised on Thursday October 1, 2009. Conference The conference was successful with over 50 guests from all over the world and from many different backgrounds (policy makers, academics, consultants). The guests were interested not only in the results of the 6 different topics, but also in the latest academic developments in the field of quantification of ex ante impact assessment techniques as presented by Prof. Bergstrand, Prof. Francois and Prof. Van Marrewijk.
