ECORYS has its core activities in the economic evaluation of policy developments. In the ports and maritime sector, these often concern very large investments, such as the planned Maasvlakte 2 expansion in the Port of Rotterdam. Our knowledge of key port economic factors is combined with our understanding of the shipping sector and our expertise in logistics and hinterland transport. Thus ECORYS’ experts provide integral economic evaluations combining all aspects of ports. The Transport department’s specialists are working in multidisciplinary teams, consisting of maritime economists, engineers, maritime logistic experts, legal and institutional experts, financial engineers and environmental specialists.
