14 September 2007 – An ECORYS lead consortium has won a large EU Framework contract (Directorate General Enterprise & Industry) to carry out 48 sector competitiveness studies over a period of four years. The consortium consists of ECORYS, IDEA, Danish Technological Institute, Cambridge Econometrics and IFO.

The project, for which ECORYS will shortly commence work in i.a. the sectors glass, steel and ceramics, is in keeping with projects ECORYS has done for the ERECO-network. It also fits in with the ECORYS Competitiveness Programme, which was set up in 2003 and which focusses on optimising the competitiveness of regions, industries and locations.
