25 May 2010 - ECORYS has participated in a symposium dedicated to Poland and organised by ING, EVD International, the Dutch-Polish Trade Promotion Centre and the Polish Embassy in the Netherlands. The event took place on 25 May 2010 in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Poland has shown an economic growth of 1,7% in 2009 and it has been the only EU member state to achieve a positive growth. The World Bank ranks the Polish economy on the 18th place. The current position of Poland is strong and the perspectives are good. Therefore the country offers attractive opportunities for Dutch companies.

The symposium was directed mainly at Dutch businesses and provided opportunities for sharing knowledge and experience as well as for networking. Guest of the event was Mrs Danuta Hűbner, Member of the European Parliament and ex-EU Commissioner responsible for regional policy. 

Mr Rado Piontek, Managing Director of ECORYS Polska, was a speaker at the workshop dedicated to EU Structural Funds and the opportunities they offer to Dutch companies.
