ECORYS Netherlands wins ORET-tender PDF Print E-mail

4 January 2007 – In December 2006 ECORYS Netherlands won the tender for the execution of the ORET programme in 2007 in a consortium with Price Waterhouse Coopers. The tender encompasses the total management of the ORET programme for the duration of one year.

ORET is a programme for development related, relevant export transactions of the Directorate Sustainable Economic Development (Dutch: DDE) of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The programme helps the Ministry to grant subsidies for the purchasing of capital goods, works and services from Dutch companies by clients in developing countries. Only activities that are not commercially viable can be considered for ORET subsidy. Most of the times, ORET-aided projects are about the realisation of infrastructural works like purification installations for drinking water, ports, public transport, electricity grids and hospitals.

ECORYS has been involved with the ORET programme since 1993 (for DGIS) and 2001 (for FMO) as evaluator. This new order covers the entire ORET-programme, from informing companies and local parties about the ORET programme,  to negotiating agreements, dealing with protests and monitoring the realisation of transactions.
This ORET-order enhances ECORYS’ status on the Dutch export sector.
