28 February 2008 – ECORYS is ranked third in the EVD top-10 of successful Dutch companies who participate in EU-programmes. The top 10 list is part of the EVD report “EU externe programma's: kansen en bottlenecks”(EU external programmes: chances and bottlenecks) that was handed to the European Commission by the EVD on 21 February.

The EVD – an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs – supports and facilitates international activities of companies, governments and institutions. The report compiles the experiences of 100 Dutch companies talking part in EU programmes.

Between 2000 and 2006 Dutch companies acquired approximately 137 million Euros of projects for the TACIS and MEDA programmes (the forerunners of the curent ENPI, the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument). This means that The Netherlands follows France and the UK both in absolute terms and when the figures are adjusted according to the size of the national economies. The Dutch services sector is the most successful.
