ECORYS España contributes to the Draft Master Development Cooperation Plan for Castilla y León PDF Print E-mail

20 January 2009 - Sonia Vega, Myriam Pérez and Cristina Torrecillas from ECORYS España have participated jointly with the representatives of the Regional Government of Castilla y León in the presentation of the Draft Master Development Cooperation Plan for Castilla y León 2009-2012.

More than 50 relevant stakeholders attended this event where main topics were discussed through different workshops. The Master Plan is the key four-year strategic planning document defining the general action lines, objectives and priorities (by sector, by country and by disadvantage groups) and advancing the indicative budgetary resources for that period. The 2009-2012 Master Plan seeks to integrate the Castilla y León Development Cooperation Policy into the framework of the main National and International development agenda.

The ECORYS España team has been assisting the Regional Government of Castilla y León in the preparation of the Draft Master Plan since July 2008, which has involved, among others, undertaking desk-based research, targeted interviews with key stakeholders and focus groups in all nine provinces in the region. After the public consultation period ending up in 31st January, the Draft Master Plan will be revised, formally approved and further developed by Annual Operational Plans.
