Ecorys has a long tradition in supporting EU Enlargement and Neighbourhood countries in their efforts to meet the institutional and policy standards of the European Union. For more than 20 years, Ecorys has been an active partner to governments and non-governmental organisations in the EU enlargement process in Central and Eastern Europe. In order to continue serving the local clients, Ecorys has established its permanent presence in some of the New EU Member States.
Our active involvement in the latest EU Enlargement region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzogovina, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey and Kosovo) shows in numerous projects aiming at institutional capacity and policy development in line with the EU accession agenda.
Ecorys closely follows the European Community (EC) Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) aimed at Southern Mediterranean, Eastern European and Southern Caucasus countries. We support the EC and the local beneficiaries in implementing the broad political strategy towards the Neighbourhood region (Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Russia, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine). The work we undertake with our projects contributes to the smoothening of the dividing lines between the enlarged Europe and its direct neighbours.
