The ECORYS Research Programme has established a Research Committee comprising:

• Max van der Sleen and John Bell from the ECORYS Board of Management,
• Professor Willem Molle from Foundation NEI,
• Professor Ian Cole from the Centre for Economic and Social Research at Sheffield Hallam University.

The ECORYS Research Committee has been established by ECORYS as an advisory body with the aim of improving and sustaining the quality of the ECORYS Research programme. The Research Committee provides its advice to the ECORYS Board of Management and the ECORYS Research Director. This advice is orientated to programming, monitoring and evaluation. The Research Committee also:

1. reviews the progress of approved projects;
2. advises on management action, if needed,  to improve the quality and relevance of the expected research results;
3. advises on the relevance of the research portfolio as a whole and its individual projects;
4. advises on the priorities for funding with reference to the programme themes and priorities set by the BOM and taken into account the resources potentially available from ECORYS, from the Foundation NEI and from other sources/partners;
5. discusses and advises on the annual funding proposal for new projects to the BOM and to the Foundation NEI and others as appropriate.

The programme is directed by George Barrett (Programme Director) who is also a member of the Research Committee and Chris Simpson (Programme Manager) who manages the day to day activities of the programme.
