"Sound analysis, inspiring ideas and effective delivery". That is what we do, it is the nature of our business.

Worldwide we help our clients to turn their ideals for their societies into policy and policy into incentives and actions, that can bring about the changes needed to implement policy.  

2007 was a good year for ECORYS. We worked in 110 countries, implemented over 2.000 assignments and had a turnover of more than €80 million. ECORYS provided work for over 1.000 people and 30 consortium partners and at the end of the year we offered permanent employment for 560 people.

To improve the economic and social conditions of the countries in which we live and have our offices, the European Union and its neighbouring stated and developing countries, in a just, fair and equitable way. Those are our ideals. It’s the reason why we do what we do, with passion, commitment and pride.

ECORYS is of respectable heritage with strong values, and yet diverse and flexible. Our oldest roots are in the Netherlands Economic Institute - which was established in 1929 - and we still have a strong economic outlook in what we do. From this tradition stems our belief in a strong and efficient government, be it large or small, provided it pursues policies which are economically sound, peaceful, just and fair. In 1990 this sound analysis and integrity tradition of NEI merged with the client trust and inspiring ideas of Kolpron (Real Estate) Consultants. In 2000 the merger with ECOTEC, a large social policy group in the UK brought us expertise in effective delivery. This merger enriched our ECORYS culture further with values of diversity, equal opportunity and inclusiveness.

ECORYS is professionally, financially and commercially independent. We are majority owned by our staff and minority owned by the Foundation Netherlands Economic Institute, who supports our ECORYS Research Programme with the dividends we pay from our profits.

We are ambitious, especially about how we do our work. We continuously strive to become an ever more attractive employer, a respected knowledge company and network company. In our line of business it is crucial to deliver what one promises on time, to understand what clients need and to provide quality value added in all work delivered. That is what we at ECORYS are about, thatis what we do.
