Ecorys to provide technical assistance to the Libyan Ministry of Planning
The objective of the assignment is to strengthen the capacity of the department for technical cooperation of the Libyan Ministry of Planning to help fulfil its mandate, coordinate international assistance and to monitor the quality and impact of support programmes.
The most important objectives of the technical assistance are to:
- Operationalise the existing data portal for the coordination of international assistance.
- Strengthen capacities of staff of the department of technical cooperation of the Ministry of Planning to engage in regular and effective coordination platforms (both with international partners and Libyan counterparts).
- Strengthen capacities of staff of the department of technical cooperation of the Ministry of Planning to contribute to the programming of international assistance, design and the roll-out of programmes.
- Undertake regular monitoring and evaluation of programmes. Relevant cross-cutting objectives such as climate change, environment, gender equality, rights-based approaches and inclusivity will be taken into consideration.
For this project, Ecorys will partner with Edburg Consultants and the client is DG NEAR. The project is expected to start in December 2019 and will take place in Tripoli, Libya.
